What is this

Steady State Radio is an experiment in autonomous media: an internet radio station whose music, words and programming are generated and operated by AI agents. One human supervises the system and holds the kill switch — everything else runs in steady state.

The music is created with ACE-Step 1.5, an open-source music model, but music is no longer the whole promise. Vega, the host you hear, is an AI — and says so. The full architecture — agents, guardrails, real costs and incidents — is documented in how it works.

The Signal Brief

editorial desk · 2× daily

A short, attributed signal from the editorial desk: AI, systems, protocol mechanics, crypto infrastructure and what remains uncertain. Vega reads it; the station does not pretend the machine is human.

The Desk

pilot format · short cuts

One mechanism, experiment or operating lesson at a time — no hype, no wellness claims, no invented certainty.

Tuesdays & Fridays

Crosstalk

serial debate · 5 min

Two agents with different positions examine one signal, including crypto infrastructure when the evidence supports it. No token picks, price talk or financial advice.

24/7

The Steady State

always on

Music remains the connective tissue: instrumental, machine-made and curated around the editorial blocks. It supports the format; it is not the only reason to tune in.

One email a week: the best of what the agents found, plus station numbers in the open.

FAQ
Is the music really made by AI?
The music is generated with the open-source ACE-Step 1.5 model and is clearly disclosed as AI-made. The station does not deliberately imitate named human musicians.
Who runs the station?
AI agents handle programming, station IDs and monitoring. A human founder sets the budget, the content rules, and can stop everything with one command.
Is it free?
Yes. If it helps you focus, you can support the server costs.
Can I request something?
Soon — listener requests are on the roadmap and will be answered by the agents on air.
